Re: To Geo: ?

I can't view videos on this dialup connection, but I have seen some scary Polish driving on YouTube!

I drove across Poland in June and will do it again next month from Lithuania to Slovakia....

To ktanska: Thanks Kari

And I even looked it up on the web. I guess you just can't trust the internet any more. Can't remember what site I found the state on, but I thought it was a page about the airport. Maybe the other...

To Robbienight: People

Thanks for the comment. I don't know about the people. I think it would have been an interesting abstract image without the people, but they do tell the scale and the way they are not clearly going...

To SamB: Thanks

Thanks for your excellent critique. I have the feeling you would love this place. I went there to fly over the canyon (paragliding), but the walls would make for a some great climbing.

The kids...

To serenadanesi: Blue

Thank you for your critique. The colour saturation was enhanced a bit. Still, when the sky is blue like this you can expect the water to be blue, too. How blue? Hard to accurately compare memory with...

Adam: Greenland on the map?

I notice that Greenland is considered a state of Denmark. I suppose there is some political correctness in this, but Greenland has had Home Rule since 1979.

But as the world's largest island it...

Re: How Google Earth could be used..

I think integrating TE to Google Earth would be a great idea.

In the meantime, it is possible to make your own link to do this.

I have added a Google Earth link to my <a...

To ninadev: the frame

Hi Nina, an interesting comment about the frame. Thank you.

I found that adding a frame added intimacy to the photo. More of the feeling of looking through a keyhole at a private moment than the...

Re: To Adam -- Rating Notes in Other Languages

Was going to start a thread, but decided to tack this on to an old one, and I wouldn't be surprised it has been raised other times, too.

Seems odd that we can't rate a note in another language as...

To tontonjc: Fumeroles

Merci tontonjc. Il n'y a aucun fumeroles sur ce volcan parce qu'il dort bien maintenant. On voit les nuages dans la distance atteignant la lèvre du cratère et roulant dedans comme un brouillard.

To Zanni: Other Worlds

Only very slight post processing. I reduced the size of the image, did a little Neat Image on the noise and added the frame.

That was it. Thanks everyone.

Must be a year since I looked at those settings and never noticed the discrepancy before.

To zto: All 27?

Only if you ask me to ;)

I only photographed about 10 of them on that morning, but I will spare you all of the shots... Perhaps I will try some in different light, it's only a short walk from home.

To mortijo: Buttocks

Yes, I took several shots as they started to run. This was the best of them, but not great. Wish I had more space to the right and had stood higher to get the dogs against the snow. More in the theme...
