You are replying to one Luc... i have no idea who this Luc is... i know only one thing... i found you out, you stole my picture, and you HAVE to apologize (at least) to me... You pretend to be from Iran... Your website is/was located in India, and now it appears it is located in the Us... Clean up your act... I live in India and will find out.

Zap,
I don't live from photography, online or not... and if you had asked me nicely for my photos, i might have given you permission, as i don't need any money, specially if, as you claim, you are college kids doing it for the sake of it.
I acknowledge your apologies, but i just got shocked by seeing you are offering all our pictures as wallpapers for free, but getting advertisement money... even if little, it would have got more with time!!! I think you should take advantage of this site by joining us and posting your own pictures!!! Just for fun
Sorry if i was a bit rude in my previous message...
Enjoy life, and photography!
Regards
Laurent

Default THE END

Hi all,

I think Zap got the message by now ;-)
Let's all take our cameras again, close the forum, turn off the computer and go out for some serious photographing!

Thanks to everyone for being so sharp, seeing the mis-use / abuse of our photographs and starting this discussion. As you see, together as a community it's easy to find all the information needed to solve issues like this if they arise.

Thanks to you all!
Dennis

When I tried that website I got:
""Hello Friend. We are sorry to inform you that we are down. We will never be back. Thank you.
Keep loving the nature.""

Wonder if that is for technical reasons, of because of the thieving!

No, he said he was sorry for all the trouble he caused and would close down the site. I think he is sincere, but that does not mean what he did was ethical/legal. Live and learn!

How was this spotted???

It's very troubling,
although not surprising.

As an aside the Trek____ sites are full of copyright infringements where "our" folks have stolen copyrighted material for their notes...

And I truly wish that there would be more "Live and learn!" in that very area!

I only just read about what happened with trekearth photos being stolen (including my own)!
Thanks for everything that has been done to sort the issue out!
