Hello MArk

I took the Peralta trail many times. Matter of fact as you get the needle view point. Look to the west and start climbing. The view from the top is amazing. Nice capture of the snow on the mountain.

Default To jimmyjimmy: Veil slowly lifting

Hello Jimmy,

I've been to the top of Peralta trail a few times as well, once even in the dark to catch the igniting of the Needle's tip by the rising sun. On my bucket list is climbing the Flatiron to photograph a full moon rising behind and resting on the Needle.

And, I've been (I think) where you suggested via a scramble east from the point where the Carney Springs trail crests its saddle. When I did that there were cairns marking the way, but, when I was up there this fall, I didn't see the cairns, so I don't know whether that route is still in use.

If/when you look at today's photo ("Exposed"), check its workshop and let me know which version you like best.

Thanks, warm regards, and Happy New Year,
Mark
