Great PaulVDV 2020-06-03 11:29

Hello Mariusz,
A three-hour drive there and back is too much to visit this region on a day trip. It is therefore necessary to pay such an expensive accommodation there. No idea if you are staying in absolute luxury for this price. But in the end you want to be outside as much as possible for the beautiful nature.
That brings me back to the fact that in many Asian countries you stay comfortably and eat well for a small sum which made it possible for me to travel around for months after my retirement.
Yet I find this a very beautiful landscape with the barren mountains that descend steeply towards the blue water of the lake.
Attractive natural colours and well composed.
Best regards, Paul

Default To PaulVDV: day trip

Hi Paul,
I am not sure if I was clear in my note: we are not allowed to make overnight trips (unless you are a friend of the Prime Minister), so I spent 6 hours in the car on that day. The longest day trip I remember was 4 hours one way to Key West in Florida... but of course in the past I was driving longer distances for example to see Grand Canyon from LA. It was 9 hours drive but obviously I stayed over night there then
The prices refer to another occasion when I was searching for accommodation there, and I gave up in the end.

Kind regards,

Thank you, Mariusz, for clarification.

No, I'm not really friends with your prime minister. Could you perhaps introduce me to him?

It's the same problem everywhere. Despite the fact that we were still not allowed to travel abroad, a Belgian prince still managed to go to Spain and attend a lockdown party in Cordoba ...
Because he was caught there, he made the news both in Spain and in Belgium.

All the best !
