In the last days I´ve been uploading photos of the refugee camp of Dajla in Argelia, there si where Sahara people in the exile survive badly. The first photo was about the women, the second about the men, the third is about the place.
A thousand houses made out of adobe (a mix of mud and straw) growns all over the oasis and the sand, and what photographicly speaking coud have some potential, it´s quite a hell for the human living. Why to use this material and not a better one. There is an explanation: Since It is a campment due to be evacuated someday in the future, adobe is the stronger material they are allow to build, it means, out of a weak combination that will dissapears while the time passes by.
Nontheless I have to recognize: It was magic at dawn.

En los últimos días he estado cargando fotos del campo de refugiado saharui de Dajla en Argelia, si la primera foto estaba dedicada a las mujeres y la segunda a los hombres, esta tercera pretende enseñar el lugar.
Miles de casas contruidas con adobe (un material mezcla de barro y paja) crecen a lo largo del oasis y el desierto, y lo que tiene cierto potencial fotográfico, es un infierno en términos de habitabilidad. Por qué usar este material y no otro mejor. Tiene su explicación: Al tratarse de un emplazamiento provisional, adobe es el material más sólido en el que se les permite construir ya que se supone que más tarde o más temprano deberá ser desalojado, es decir, hay una intención de que la gente que lo habita no establezca allí raices. La debilidad de esta materia prima hará que poco a poco vaya desapareciendo con el tiempo.
En cualquier caso tento que reconocerlo: El lugar tenía encanto, sobre todo con luz amanecer.

Hi Miguel - you're already back and have 3 photos, yet I see them only now. Magical light indeed, and the desert textures are enhanced by the low light, which also intensifies the red of the adobe huts. It must have been a unique experience, I still intend to go there next year in...February?

Una foto muy cinematográfica (por muchos motivos, sí). Y además yo diría que muy atractiva y sugerente.
Me gusta su luz, su composición y como su arena parece formar parte de un mundo aparte y diferente.

Hi Miguel, this group of houses in the desert is very special. I like your low POV that shows us the recent traffic in the sand... Great colours too, a photo that is like a call for travel !
