The buildings on the photo were all constructed, in the traditional method of the highlands, of earthen walls with a thatched roof. This architecture with the reddish color of the soil provides a beautiful contrast to the surrounding green grasslands.

Hello Szili,
You did good taken this specially houses, but I like extraordinarily the colour of the facades, the dry mud give a very separate colour, a total other image of us in west Europe, but maybe are this people very content.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Attila
Great colours and fascinating, rustic architecture. There is a real dynamic to the picture due to the presence of the children. Madagascar is definitely a place on my wish list to visit, for the Malagasy people and their culture and even more so for me, for its ecological and environmental interest - like the lemurs in some of your other postings.
thanks for sharing

Hi Szili
A good insight into the traditional building techniques of the people of this island. Stunning colours and a very good example of traditional methods. The children in the photo are a good added touch.

Bonsoir mon ami Szili,
J'aime beaucoup cette prise de vue aux couleurs saturées sans excčs. Trčs intéressante prise de vue de l'habitat d'Antsirabe.
Une photo prise sur le vif !

Well capture, Attila, it has a National Geographic quality. Though the sky is blown up, I think it complements the overall look and feel of it. Well done! Enrique

This is an interesting view of a place I know nothing about, so I find shots like this very much what I like about TrekEarth. The red and black buildings are very striking, which I suspect was the attraction of making them the subject of a shot.

Hi Attila,
This one is great! I love the contrast between green and red, it's very close to what one can feel when discovering those little villages near Antsirabe.
Each detail is interesting here :
-The red bricks alongside the roads one can't miss when visiting the region and which become more brown as you go southwards.
-The black areas above the windows and near the bricks due to fire. They don't seem to be disturbed by smoke there, they must be used to it I imagine.
-All Malagasy children smiling, telling you "salut vazaha" :-)
Well, together with your interesting note, this shot is a true window on Madagascar.
Nice job!
Quentin.

Ciao Attila,
although I had been away from TE for a very few days, I did not want to let this photo pass uncommented.
The idea of perspective resulting from the composition, the colors, contrast... the way in which architecture also shows people living... I like it all very much!
Best regards,
Carlos

Szia Atus!
Éljen ez a fajta globalizáció! :-)
Nagyon szép kép, köszi
