Photographer’s Note

Continuing on from my last post of the underground 16th century cistern used for storing water. Here you can see a closer view of the well which sits in the middle of this large complex, and the thin film of water which covers the floor is quite well visible. The circle in the floor is the reflection of the one and only opening in the vaulted ceiling, the only original light source and where the water comes in.
It is dark and cool down there and I found an eerie feeling.

Converted to black and white in the workshop as I think it suits the subject quite well too.
