Photographer's Note

The djellaba is a loose fitting, ankle length, muslim garment with long sleeves and a hood.

However, dress codes are really varied in Morocco. While some are expected to fully cover up with a djellaba, others walk around in t-shirts and tight jeans. I think, factors include wealth status and age. Only old peoples wear still traditional dress. A street merchant spokes me a traditional djellaba enables to hide under it poor clothes.
