Photographer's Note

Fabulous Volubilis, the largest preserved Roman ruins in Morocco, was one of the empire's most remote outpost and it's truly amazing what Wheat, Olives and Honey can do! The ancient ruins stand by themselves, away from any cities or villages on the gentle shoulder of a hill overlooking sweeping views of a fertile basin.

A late afternoon capture, no wonder the Romans went for it!
