Tangier, Mendoubia gardens.

Mediterranean door of Morocco, separated from Europe by the 15 km of the Gibraltar Detroit, this is the 5th city of the country and its port knows a new dynamism these years.

City of culture, Tangier "the White" has attracted a lot of artists and writers who liked its weather, the landscapes around and the cosmopolitanism of the place : Delacroix, Degas, Matisse, Gaudi, Dumas, Loti, Twain, Barthes, Capote, Kessel, Beckett...

The Mendoubia is the ancient palace of the Mendoub, the Sultan representative while the "international period" (1925 to the Independance in 1956).
Its gardens have remarkable 8 centuries old trees, as banyan fig trees.

With the 9 April square, these gardens are the link between the modern town and the old one, the Medina.
