Photographer’s Note
I think that this is the capitol in the Roman ruined city of Volubilis. (Although the basilica is some where in the same area - my apologies if I've got it wrong). The gentleman with the hat caught up with us several times selling his post cards.
My previous posting for Volubilis looked in the other direction. This one looks back up towards the back drop hills of this beautifully set ancient city on an overcast day.

Hi Ian, another excellent POV of this intriguing ruined city. THe Roman influence can be seen far and wide. Your depth is wonderful although the ruins on the right seem slightly sharper than those on the left. You did really well with the overcast conditions too. I also like the tale accompanying the photo, just what TE is all about. TFS, Lisa.

Hi Ian,
Again a very good perspective on these fascinating ruins.
Considering the overcast sky, you've come up with an exceptional image, the colour rendition and contrast is very good.
Love your note, did you buy a postcard in the end???
Regards
Peter

Hello Ian,
A different picture of this country so close to mine, I lived for nearly two years in the Western Sahara, which was then ruled by Spain and Morocco took it off after the Saharawi, and certainly in that area, it was all desert nothing to do with what you show in your image.
Excellent composition and wonderful light.
Best wishes,
Charo
