[Normas para las notas] Notas del fotógrafo
This photo is over year old, but it seems I've taken it so much longer time ago. I found quite useful to go through old photos time to time as we start to look at things differently or see what we have not seen before. I think that the process of photography is often also very intuitive (at least for me). Sometimes we take photos just because we are impressed or overwhelmed by scene or situation. As we learn more about photos, compo, POV or DOF we start to see things differently. I used to leave photos form different angles in my archive as I knew that I would recognize the best composition bit later.

So this photo is the result of one of these "reviews" of older photographs. It was taken early in the morning and that is what gives this photo very soft colors and tones. What I like about this picture is that those camels look like on camel date in front of those beautiful layers of colors on dunes.

Beautifull light in de desert.Suberbe shot

Gr Jos

Hi Lucie,
Very impressive picture with this light touching the top of the dunes.
I like the way you compose this picture...
Maybe a little too dark.
Christophe

Beautiful light and dark contrasts here Lucie.

Really well composed too.

Full of warmth.

I like the compression of the layers of dunes created by the zoom

Awesome shot! Lucie, you really outdid yourself with this one - it's an instant classic! The lighting is great, and the series of lines from the dunes is rendered in a very artistic and beautiful way. This is going straight to my favourites! By the way, Morocco is already on my list!

Hi Lucie
Amazing colors here. Contrast light/shadows is incrédible. I like your compo with the camel at the right place. Really well done.
Cheers
JP

Outstanding, the multi layer effect of the dunes is offset brilliantly by the camels there in the foreground. Well done.

Too good to believe this is from our planet.
I don't know what to say, rather than saving a copy for my favorites album.
Thanks.

CL

I was quite certain what to say after seeing this picture of yours, Lucie.
But after clicking those links you've posted - I'm a bit confused.
Which one Lucie, which one I shall praise the most?
You tell me.

I would like to use your own words for your fantastic capture: "is the emotional appeal of the photograph itself."

My sincere appreciations and admiration!

Hi Luce. Your note it's very interesting, and I agree with you. Great idea reviw old shots. This is marvellous. I like the lighten lines not paralleles, framing horizontally the shot. It's an effect marvellous. Thanks.

Angel.

Hello Lucie,
A superb image, the light games over the different dune make the picture magical.

Woooowww!
Yet another of your stunning pictures.
You manage to capture the light in such a wonderfull way.

Hi Lucie,
Really like this photo! Love the soft colours of the dunes and the camels in the foreground with the lightened dune tops really make it. Well done. :-)
Cheers Tina

Très bel effet graphique et coloré produit par ces cordons de dunes éclairés de façon si particulière.
Amicalement
JJ

Beautiful shot with an excellent perspective given by the dune lines. You manage very good colours and sharp details all over the picture. Well done.
Antonio

Magnifique... très rèussi...
Ces différentes plans de sables donne un effet très graphique a ta photo...
Un grand bravo

Hi Lucie, what attracts me in this photo is the excellent light on the sand dunes, very good timing in terms of light, the sun is gently touching the edges, very beautiful. What is less appealing to me here are the camels themselves, although the side lighting of their backs is pleasant, all in all it is too contrast and the heads are in the deep shadow, so the camels don't really work for me as the main subjects. But a gold medal for the lighting of dunes!

Cheers
Alexander

Lucie, Lucie, Lucie! How can we stop you? How can we endures so beautiful photos, one after the other? Tell me! Gold is a color I can't resist. Not especially in jewel though, but in pictures. Or like in those old manuscripts where some people of the past took the time to illuminates the pages.
This is another of your gems of the desert. You do love desert, Lucie. That love is flowing like a river...
Claire

A beautiful scene, Lucie--rich gold light and the classic feel of the desert. Telephoto is a great choice to create so many layers. It does look a bit oversharpened, though, especially around the camels. But the overall effect is great! Regards, Ken.

Superb game of line, light and shadows. However, I would have like to see more clearly what's there in the bottom.

Good photograph Lucie.

Ha!
Totally wild one compared to the rest in the series!
Darker colours and that wonderful low sunlight - absolutely stunning scene!
Very good, Lucie!

absolutely stunning - lost for words ...

Once again - outstanding. Excellent idea, excellent realisation, beautiful colours. Congratulations.

Best regards
Ivana

Amazing lines, highlights, colour and scene overall! A wonderful treasure to dig up from the past, thanks for sharing!

Hi Lucie
A lovely shot, with warm colours enhancing this early morning scene. I particularly like the zig zag effect the sand dunes make as they recede into the distance. The shimmering light gives the effect of a halo. Nice composition and a good balance of elements. The vertical format works well too, as it exaggerates the depth more. Well done friend.

Wow, I can never tire of your desert views Lucie.
Great overall vertical composition. I love the gradation of colors and textures - roughest at the foreground to the smoothest at the background.
And I also love the natural actions of the person and the camel.
Exquisite job, as usual.

Ahoj Luci,

What color's! Just splendid work you do ! Like your fotos a lot, TFS ! Mike

Good work on DOF and perfect transition of colors. I was just telling a friend it is not the camera (he is aiming high at a Nikon D200) it is how you see and shoot while showing this photo as evidence. Good work.

Hi Lucie,

I'm delighted to bring your wonderful image up to the magic 100 mark, something I can only dream about. The layers of sand dunes stretching into the distance and the fantastic tones and hues give this image a picture like quality. The camels are a bit dark for me, would have liked to see some detail but overall it's a superb composition, well done.

Regards

Stephen
