Photographer's Note

Today I show the three last photos of my series from the streets of Leh, but I am not finished with Ladakh. I will post a few more photos from this Indian part of Tibet in 1985, but taken outside the district capital.

This photo is almost identical to a picture I posted recently from Bhutan, but taken 18 years earlier with a better light and from a different angle.

Do these boys trying to make the big prayer wheels spin around really understand the religious significance of what they are doing? Probably not, but it must have been a ot of fun, almost like going on a carousel.
