A market scene from Mapusa city, in north Goa...
This lady sells ropes made from coconut coir, which is the fibre of the husk. It is a long and tiring process and the skill is slowly disappearing...

Cette dame vend des cordes faites de fibre de bourre de coco, filées selon un procédé ancestral.

Bonjour Laurent,
Il n'y a plus guère que les mains expérimentées de ces populations indiennes qui travaillent pour quelques roupies, et sans se plaindre de leurs conditions de travail, pour fabriquer encore des cordes à la main. Eh oui, "tout se perd, mon bon monsieur !" Une belle scène de la vie quotidienne, simple et colorée, qui illustre et met à l'honneur une activité artisanale en voie de disparition. Excellent cadrage.

Une scène bien présentée, le cadrage est équilibré entee la marchande et les cordes, bon effet ave les teintes et la bonne exposition, un visage qui semble exprimer une certaine lassitude.

great picture and well captured moment. I like how the woman seems to be buried in the products she sells. Her vivid pink robe contrasts nicely with the settings and makes her stand out from the background. Very well framed, with nice contrast and colors.
