Photographer's Note

hello friends...i was lost in transition for a while...but i will keep coming back like this...
here is a post from my darjeeling trip this year...i chose the most inopportune time to go there...the monsoon!!! but i was blessed with some moments like this...
i undertook a very ambitious jeep ride on a route i walked before...the beautiful darjeeling-sandakfu trip....never had an idea how bumpy it will get...the road of 32 kilometres was only boulders and mud like this...and chicken neck turns at almost 45 degress, as thin as a chicken's neck almost....and after a 6 hour bone-shattering ride on a 1954 land rover, made in birmingham i reached sandakfu only to find the beauty has faded a bit...with private hotels(!!) on the top...
this place is near the last checkpost...at the edge of Indo-Nepal border...it was all wet and dark...
still managed to get something out of it...
this trip has a bit of a sentimental story...my dad passed away recently...and this was the first trip he took me long long back...it was sort of a down the memory lane journey for me...
