Photographer's Note

I was leaving Buraga for a long day of walk when I saw a gathering in front of a house. The event was a ceremony of circumcision. I am afraid that, the long nose that I am, has stolen some of the attention! (Sometimes, when the indonesian kids were staring a too long time at my face; I was asking : do you want to get the same long nose as me???. Or if I wanted to drink a coconut juice in a glass instead of drinking it from the fruit itself... I just had to explain that I cannot drink like that, with a so long nose... they were laughing each time).
Buraga is a village in the south of the island, to which it was, until recently, difficult to access differently than by boat or by walk. The path through the jungle has offered to me one of the most wonderful and peaceful treks I could desire.
