Photographer's Note

I just went to see the "Visa pour l'image" photoreporter's festival in Perpignan (2.5 hours from toulouse); there were several interesting exhibitions including mumbai's slums, Russia, Haiti, North Korea among others.

One thing one notices is how touching and relevant black and white photos can be, with this in mind I am posting today this photo taken at Yogyakarta's Kraton (old walled town) main square.

There were three elephants being fed and shown off to bypassers, and this little girl was looking at them.

This goes for jinju, alsom, flydragon, Sohrab and other trekearth photographers who do good black and white work. I hope that one day I can learn how to master black and white photos the way you do.
