Fushimi Inari Shrine is the most famous of several thousands of shrines dedicated to Inari across Japan. Inari is the Shinto god of rice, and foxes are thought to be his messengers. Therefore, many fox statues can be found at Inari shrines.
Fushimi Inari Shrine is also famous for the more than 5000 torii gates, offerings by worshippers, that cover the hiking trails of Inarisan, the wooded mountain behind the shrine's main buildings. It takes about two hours to walk along the whole trail.

A really breathtaking - and very unusual - view for European eyes. These gates create an incredible depth here. An eyecatcing picture indeed!

Zdravo Attila. How would I love to go to Japan- a place that has enchanted me since childhood. I see the little fellow is enthralled by it all. A nice intimate shot amongst all that brilliant red. Pozdrav prijatelju. Klaudio.

Hi Attila,
This looks like a fascinating place and I would like to visit it one day. The red pillars with the black writing and the black at the bottom make for an eye catching subject. I like that you have included the two people also capturing their memories and they give good scale.

Szia Attila!

This is a great, typically japanese scene.
I love the mement when the father translates his son the specific character of this architecture or history ...we can just guess...and then takes a photo to stop this magic moment!
Great work Attila!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Attila,
great catch. Always funny to see how people want to get a picture of them self in remarkable situations.
The red rolls of paper form a great decor.

Hi Attila,
The "closed" atmosphere here is very well emphasized with your tight framing. This natural bordering with red is so well thought. And the self-photographing couple adds life to the place.

Szia Attila!
Csak bámulok. A hely különlegességét, a kiváló expozíciót, a meghitt szülői gesztust - ez utóbbi, azt hiszem, a világon mindenütt egyforma.

Hi Attila,
Fantastic graphical effect in this capture, the setting takes advantage of the good perspective of this structure that looks like a tunnel, and the vivid colors add a great strength to the composition.
In addition, this mother with her son taking a self-portrait it is an excellent detail of life and feeling, with a great spontaneity.
Good work.
Friendly regards,
Josep

I think this is one of your best compositions, so spontaneous and very original....the red toriis with Japanese's characteres frame it perfect and the woman-shooting with a boy just a nice bonus. I like this shot Attila friend, thanks :-)
