Photographer's Note

I was having lunch at the Restoran Berputar Seri Angkasa (revolving restaurant on top of the Kuala Lumpur Tower) when I saw a storm fast approaching the city center.

Bright and quite sunny not too long before, the city was soon enveloped by a huge blanket of grey clouds. Most strikingly, the majestic Twin Towers looked to be the first to receive the rain, being so close to the clouds! I found this a refreshing perspective to see the Twin Towers, so there!

The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur are the second tallest buildings in the world today. Standing at 452 meters, they rank just behind Taipei 101 (at 509m) in the 'tallest skyscraper' ranking. No wonder, then, that they kiss the clouds whenever a tropical storm approaches!
