‘Bhaktapur - Red’

I dedicate these pictures to Kasia who was the first to let us know that red was the favourite colour of many Nepalese women, at least as far as their attire is concerned.

Personally I’ve also always loved red. However, older guys in Belgium don't or hardly ever wear that colour :) 

As for Nepal, Kasia is completely right:
Red is the favourite colour of most women in Nepal !
That brought a lot of life to the street scenes.
Here three scenes from the center of Bhaktapur.
The late afternoon sunlight helped a lot to achieve these warm tones.

Bhaktapur has many monuments, temples and an old city center that are listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
In April 2015 an earthquake (magnitude 7.8) struck the town and damaged much of the cultural and architectural heritage. The consequences of that earthquake are still visible.
