Photographer's Note

Swayambhunath, seen here is an ancient religious complex of shrines and temples - also known as the Monkey Temple situated on a hilltop in Kathmandu Valley, west of the capital city. The views are awesome and it is a great place to sit, relax for a while and make plenty of pictures.

A devotee was about to enter a shrine on a late afternoon, while a vendor of yak butter candles caught my attention as well. It's their believe that the wisdom light from candles offered, guides them through their path to heaven and to drive away the darkness within, longevity and peace of mind......
