Photographer's Note

A shot from the beachside of the uninhabited Clave Island in the 100 Islands National Park. Beachside, to my estimate, is roughly the size of a basketball court. That's how small the island is. To get there, you need to rent a boat to ferry and fetch you afterwards.

Female person in subject is somewhat trying to serve as human anchor, not letting go of the banca's (boat) hull. Boatmen are actually icedrop (local version of popsicles)vendors, circling the islands for buyers. It was really amazing to get a cold treat even in the most far-flung areas.

Taken at almost 12 noon, Philippine Time using 400 speed film. A bit overexposed due to cloudless sky, hot day. Light-blue sky became white. Scanned using HP PSC 1210, resized and applied USM.

Nevertheless, the picture is open for critique or workshop.
