Breath it, paint it, become it.... The Performer.

This performance artist is a relatively common sight along Singapore's Orchard Road most Friday nights. Some of the work he does is really 'way out there'... but always interesting to watch him and the reactions he gets from some of the audiences that gather. His message is not always clear which I guess is some of the intrigue of performance art... to make you think.

Here he's seen holding a mirror, painting what looks to be wings of some sort on his upper torso with the words "WHY" above.

I'll try to post some more photos of his performance art in the future...

I hope you like the photo...
- Dan

Hi Dan.

A colorfull photo! Impresive details!

Regards, Oscar.

He really sets no limits to his art, and thus stands out of all the others. As street artists are pretty common in large cities, and they are so much photographed, nothing much surprises anymore. But all yellow guy in fresh paint really wakes up!
Nice angle, well in focus, perfectly matching frame.
Thanks!
Kari

Hi Dan,
great impressive shot. Good capture of colours and DOF.

Hi Dan,
A very amusing shot. It is sometimes surprising what happens in some parts of the world. I love the way ou have taken the artist in the bright colours deeply engrossed in his work.
Thanks for sharing this amusing shot

Great shot! He really looks like a sculpture...you've caught him really clearly, and with great detail and colour. Nice composition and depth of view.
best regards

Behind everybody is in a hurry and he is asking those people "why"? Why hurry? Why the heart is allways broken at the end? And I am asking myself why did he painted himself in yellow?
Anyway, very good shot.

Hi Daniel
Very bright person .... I like this scene and what is on this dude's chest ... is it broken heart or lungs ... maybe that is what his "Why" is all about
You did a good job with the black border, I would have made it a bit a smaller though
tfs ... cheers ... sarju

Hi Dan,
nice and colourful picture of the performance. Great lightning on him.
Nino

"Why?" indeed? He's probably wondering what he is doing this for. You have utilised a narrow DOF well to blur the background; this chap deserves all our attention. Good frame too
Kath

Hi Dan,
The technical quality that you reach with your new camera is just brilliant.A good shot with the pin-sharp artist and the motion blured people in the background.
Greetings,
hermann

Great shot Dan - this works so well - nice clear strong graphic image with impossible to get wrong colours unless you really miss the compositionally possibilities which you clearly haven't - the DOF and the captre of the passers by is spot on - really nice!!!

best wishes Kev

WOW, now that is Yellow!
You caught the expressions of the people as they walked passed, slightly blurred and that brings out the subject even more.
nicely done !!

Really "way out there"!

I like the colors, which are the main catch, and the "performer"'s expression.

The POV is nice.

The only thing I don't really like is the frame... too "heavy"
