Photographer’s Note

This lovely small Thai Muslim fishing village Khao Seng is at the outskirt of the provincial capital Songkhla in Southern Thailand. The crabs they can catch here are relatively big and sell from 9 USD/kg. In the wet market it will be more expensive, you may have to add another 2 USD.

Fishery is an important part of the Thai economy, because the kingdom is exporting shrimps and prawns to Western Europe, while fishes are exporting to neighboring countries, in particular Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
