Photographer's Note

Picture taken at the floating market near Bangkok. There are two floating markets not too far from Bangkok. One is the historic one which takes place week ends only while the other is an everyday market. The historic one used to be more "authentic" since it was the only one people (Thai people) would go to. Today it is also visited by many tourists despite the distance from Bangkok (quite far - about 2 to 3h by bus from Bangkok). The other (the one on the picture) is only about 1 to 1h30 from Bangkok but is full of tourists and not as big an attractive as the other one. I had been to the historic one 10 years ago and the only differences I could see are the size of the market and the number of tourists (which brings more touristic shops selling many things Thai people do not care about such as T-Shirt and other useless things tourists would easily buy - the historic market did not have such shops ten years ago - might be different now)
