I found this interesting old doorway at the rear of a warehouse near the harbour in Bridgetown. The huge wall of the building was very plain and the bright colour of the orange door really stood out. I found the patterns created by the peeling paintwork and shadows from the nearby tree to be fascinating.

It's a straightforward shot with cropping to fit the doorway, leaving enough wall and pavement in the picture to create a frame. Slight increase in saturation and contrast as well as USM.

Hi Jonathan, this is really a beautiful door, the light is execllent and very pleasant, also the colour and the worn out paint arer very nice. Nicely framed by the green tree. I do like these old doors, you never know what's behind it, and who wnet through those doors all those years.
I once uploaded a picture of old doors in Portugal.

I bet, I would have passed by! Presented this way with all the years on the paint, it's a real eye catcher! Well framed!

i like photos of worn things and the ragged and torn paint on this wall and the old sign is a good example. imo the shadow is both disturbing, yet it brings something to the atmosphere

this is a cool shot. I wouldn't have let it pass. I'd also try a tighter crop in the upper left, just as an experiment.

Bonsoir Jonathan,
A good old door with sweet colours. This composition is original and precise. Well done. Regards.

Hi Jonathan,

I'm a big fan of old doors, I'm not sure if this one is old or just worn but either way the colour is great and I like the shadow and the greenery intruding from the right.

Regards

Stephen
