Photographer’s Note

Quite different from the rest of the country is Livingston, a seaside village on the Carribbean coast and only reachable by boat. The most striking difference is the people who live there. No Mayas, no Ladino's but Garifuna, a black carribean people who live also in Honduras and Belize.

Good snapshot of life in a different country.
I like the small child on her way to school with her pink backpack, she looks like she's making easy work of the hill.
Good vivid colours, just what I'd expect from a Caribbean country.

Een erg leuke foto van de straten in Guatemala. Goede POV met prima licht, mooie kleuren en details. Ik vind zulke foto's wel erg interessant, het is eens iets anders dan de landschappen. Knap werk!

Idea to photograph a rising street a good visual impact gives. The vegetation included is pleasant and hides a little invading electrical installations. The life and the colors are very pleasant to see. A beautiful exotic image. Cheer.

The perspective and the slope of the street create a very dynamic sensation to this photo.
The framing that includes the people and the tree in FG, and the quality of the light and of the colors, they give a great result in this good composition. I love the shades too.

Hello Gerrit,
A nice view of this sunny street with lots of colourful details to watch. The tree frames the picture well, and the blue sky is covered with a fine net of wires, almost like a cob-web. As occasionally happens, theses wires look quite nice. I like the well saturated colours.

It's not the fanciest street I have seen, but it has its own little Central America charm in the colours and human activity presence. I like the compo, you used the tree on the FG and the restaurant sign on the upper left very wisely. El Malecon... That reminds me Havana and Santo Domingo... Why am I missing a beer advertising? :D
