Antigua Guatemala is a city in the central mountains of Guatemala famous for its well-preserved Baroque architecture as well as a number of spectacular ruined churches. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Antigua is the departmental capital of Sacatepéquez department and has a population of about 33,000 inhabitants.
Antigua Guatemala means the "ancient Guatemala" and it was founded in 1543 and served as Spanish colonial capital of Central America.
In 1773, it suffered two severe earthquakes, which destroyed much of the town. Consequently the city was rebuilt at a safer location, where what is now Guatemala City, the capital of Guatemala.
Antigua is surrounded by three large volcanoes.
The most impressive, to the south of the city, is the Volcán de Agua or "Volcano of Water", with a height of 3766 meters. It is so named because the crater at the top it was formerly filled with water.

Olá Attila,
Couldn't you deleted right away and posted the right one? Anyway, it doesn't matter much (at least for me)...I love the shot that show us how impressive is the impact of the volcano in city. And I'm talking only abot the visual impact...The perspective is great with the sight of the colorful houses and the human atmosphere on the street. The clouds upthere enhance the dramatic effect. Very well done!
Have a nice week,
Ricardo

Hello Szili, very beautiful example of village baroque, for inhabitants unceasingly in brawl to rebuild with the foot of the volcanos, the environment transcribed well on bottom, mountainous rewarded by images which finally is impeccable, the light is splendid, sincerely

Hi Attila
I love the shot you've posted...in fact it's only the noise factor I presume which the WS is posted. The composition is great & the view of the volcono is amazing...I like the diagonal road which merges into the horizon with the painted houses. Excellent!

Per me ha piů fascino la versione sbagliata, come un immagine di atri tempi, il rumore digitale contribuisce a renderla piů bella, la versione nel workshop avendole davanti entrambi sembra piů finta.
Complimenti

Hi Atilla,
yet another place on earth where people decided to live despite of the strong presence of a volcano...that's like asking for troubles...lively painted houses on the right and the perspective compensate these regular and brown-green slopes of the massive volcano with some contrast and flair...cheers, artur

Szia Attila!
Folyton csodálkozom, milyen csodálatos és különleges helyekre vezetnek útjaid! Ennek a képednek elsősorban azért tetszik a hangulata, mert van benne valami régies meghittség, mintha a világ bajaitól távol eső helyről hoztad volna ezt a képet. Gratulálok és további szép képeket!

Szia Attila!

Hello Attila,
Very interesting showing the life action on this streer and greatness of this mountain behind. The height contrast between the two subjects resuults very well here. I also like the colours of this photo and the diagonal line that leads the eyes thru the photo.

A classic scene from Central America. I loved Guatemala when I visited there in 2003. A great place and people. Your shot and POV captures this nicely. The characteristically colourful houses set the scene well and the mountain in the distance is an excellent backdrop. Great work.

Hi
So, you,ve been to Guatemala too?!! To be honest it was always my dream to go there and learn more Spanish. I was planning a trip there for a few years.
Looking at the picture I can feel the atmosphere of this (probably) small town, with the volcano visible from everywhere.
You signature looks like written on the wall. Did you?...

Nice composition, good shot. I like the closing of the left border by the wall. And the opposite leading to a vanishing point in the distance. Nice colours, but I think a polarizing filter would have helped the image more than a UV filter.
Okay sharpness. useful note, thanks.
