John, the gardener

He is John.
According to the locals he is around a 100 years old, and he has been the gardener of the plantation all his life. When I ask himif I could take his picture he nodded very gently, he waited to hear the camera click a few times and then extended his hand. I smile back at him and gave him five dollars. John went back to his thoughts.

John's portrait is really very good and your note makes warmer this shot.
I like too much your crop and POV.
One thing could be better in your shot; your meter reading was adjusted for bright background, and unfortunately this made John's face darker. I had this kind of results several times, till someone explained me "partial metering, spot metering, etc.".
I wonder your shot details, I mean lens, aperture, shutterspeed, etc. settings.
