Hi Gerrit,
Uitstekende foto van deze reiger in het midden van de composition. Met zijn witte veren steekt hij mooi af tegen de achtergrond met de warme(re) kleuren van de boot. De spiegeling van het licht in de rustige golven is ook prachtig. Goed gezien en heel mooi fotowerk! Bedankt!

It was hard to figure this out at first as I thought the line where the boat sits on the water was a distant horizon. I guess the zoom really brought the background right in. The result is very good. I particularly like the sheen and reflections on the water, and of course the heron. Well done

Deze reiger is precies een witte koe reiger, wat we hier ook regelmatige eentje kunnen bewonderen, mooi vogels ook.
Het klein beetje beweging in het water en wat rimpels veroorzaakt zorgt voor een goed contrast tegen de felle kleuren van de boot.
Mooi gedaan Gerrit.

Interesting graphism on this picture, with this heron like a statue there. Good choice of composition!
Here, where I live, quite often we see one of its "cousins", the great blue heron. Usually it remains really like a statue on the river rocks, waiting for the prey. Amazing visual and acoustic impact when it starts flying and crying, it seems a prehistoric monster ;-)
