MORENA SON in full action in one of Santiago de Cuba’s very best places Patio de Artex. Nearby Casa de la Trova is far more famous and full of tourists, the locals and some tourists goes to Patio de Artex. I liked this place and become friend with Jean Claude who worked as a manager (he didn't own the place). Jean Claude allowed me to take pictures!

Jean Claude regarded MORENA SON as one of the absolute best orchestra in Santiago de Cuba. As you can see all of them are females and they did a fantastic performance. Since Santiago de Cuba is the city of music in Cuba this is probably one of Cuba’s best bands, the girls were very happy and full of energy!

The entrance fee to Patio de Artex is free in the afternoon but one should drink at least a cola or a bear, in the evening the fee is two CUC or maybe three CUC if a very famous orchestra happened to turn up at Patio de Artex. You can find this gem on Calle Heredia #304. I strongly recommend a visit!

Hi Jan, I am enjoying you photos with the musical theme.The girls here, both dancers and musicians are having fun, the image has got great vibrancy and colour, the movement of the girls in the foreground really completes the scene.Unfortunately the image is a little inclined to the right,this could have been lessened had you cropped the top more, this is however a minor issue.Thanks Tom.
