Photographer’s Note
The Loisach is a river that flows through Tyrol, Austria and Bavaria, Germany. Its name is Celtic in origin, from Proto-Celtic *lawo and *iskā, both of which mean "water."
The Loisach is a 114 km long left tributary to the Isar. The source of the Loisach is near Ehrwald in Austria. The Loisach flows past Garmisch-Partenkirchen and into the Kochelsee.
I hiked along this river for several miles and was amazed at the number of large trout one could see in the river. It is really a beautiful stream. I took dozens of pictures along the way, but I liked this one because I managed to balanced my camera on a rock and shot at a very slow lens speed. Hope you like rivers.

Hi Roger,
thank you for showing this river, i lived several years in Benediktbeuern, Bavaria which is only a ten minutes walk away from the Loisach. Really a lovely shot. TFS

Hi Roger
Strong nature shot.
I like how you captured this shot by balancing your camera on a rock!
Good exposure time, the river looks soft but fast flowing still.
The nature surrounding it is beautiful too.
Good management of the strong sunlight in this shot.
Good clarity of the trees and surrounding elements.
Have a great day,
Tosca

Hi Roger,
this is a wonderful shot with an really good exposure. A shame that you weren't there a few hours later. Very hard light to deal with, but we don't always have time to wait, do we?
Take good care,
Linda
