Photographer's Note

Going recently through many of active TrekEarth member galleries, I realized that most of you have already been to Prague. It is beautiful, it is safe and tourist friendly. Hence, I feel I don’t have to talk about the places photographed but I rather share my thoughts about the photos.

In this photo you see the Powder Gate (Prašná brána) which was one of 13 original town gates to Prague. I think it is more frequently photographed from the other side but when I arrived there (in the afternoon) the light was on this side. Actually, not much of a light at all. The picture was quite grey as a result. I have spotted the red car which I have used as a foreground, but it didn’t help much so I decided to selectively desaturate the picture while keeping natural red color of the car.
I have tried something like that for the first time in my life.
