Photographer's Note

Not easy to photograph this castle! If a wide angle is used, the vertical lines become deformed. With a normal lens we loose a part of the building.
I thus rectified this splendid monument with Adobe PE2.
Ah ! I was going to forget to present you the castle!
The castle of the Sully-on-Loire, with its high towers and its deep ditches, is a superb example of medieval fortress. It was built at the end of XlVe century on a site which, since the Gallo-Roman time, ordered one of rare crossings of the Loire. Most famous of its owners was Maximilien de Béthune (1560-1641), first duke of Sully and prime Minister of the king Henri IV. It is him which created the park, increases and restored the fortress of origin, and made reinforce the dams to protect the city from raw from the river.
