Photographer’s Note

Bit of a cliche shot here - the view from a window on the second floor of the Richelieu wing of the Louvre. In the foreground is the Arc du Carrousel, which defines the east end of the Voie Triomphale, and also the start of the Jardins des Tuileries. In the distance, of course, is the Eiffel Tower; this shot gives one a sense of just how much the tower dominates the Paris skyline.

Technical: Sharpened by creating a duplicate layer with Overlay blending, then High Pass filtering. Also a bit of Levels work to lighten the sky and to eliminate any residue of shooting through a glass window.
