French Polynesia: The Garden Island Photo

After a long honeymoon travel, the best place to end the vacations is a relaxing tropical garden, like the island of Huahiné is. It is an island located among the Society Islands, in French Polynesia, in the Pacific Ocean. Huahine itself is actually two separated islands, Huahine Nui (Big Huahine) to the north and Huahine Iti (Little Huahine) to the south, only separated by a few hundred meters of water and joined by a sandspit at low tide, and is surrounded by a coral reef along which emerge several islets. A small bridge was built to connect Huahine Nui and Huahine Iti.
With steep mountains descending into protected bays of azure blue and emerald green colors, the island is also one of the more geographically diverse of the Society Group and is also known as "The Garden Island" due to its abundance of lush green tropical foliage and wild jungle-like scenery, Huahine is one of the more interesting of the Society Islands to explore and one of Polynesia's best-kept secrets. Like the islands of Raiatea and Tahaa, Huahine is far less touristed than Moorea, Bora Bora and Tahiti and who visits the island, easily can have an idea of how great is to spend the vacations in such a place, in solitude and quietness. On this island, most of the beautiful sandy beaches are easily accessable for total quality beach and sun bathing.

Hello Attila. Composition is everything in this photo. You have strong diagonals with the lines of the shore and the tree, and well placed boats. The light is strong but the exposure is good. The portrait orientation is a good choice. I like the way the first boat points at the house in the trees. This place looks like a wonderful peaceful holiday location. Great scan of this timeless photo.

quando ho visto la foto nella galleria mi sembrava una destinazione ed un soggetto inconsueto per te (una spiaggia francese) invece vedo che, da buon piccione viaggiatore, ti sei spinto ben più in là!
I colori sono brillanti e la distribuzione delle barche da tono alla foto.

Indeed the verdance of this island paradise can be discerned here. The two outriggers really set a tone of relaxation, and I love the warm hue of the sand. You made good use of the vertical format here to have the lovely tree adorn and cloak the beach scene in beauty. Cheers.

Hi Attila! Beautiful picture of Huahiné. I went there in 1992, a fantastic place very remote compared to the other islands since tourists stop there much less. i spent more than a week there and I am still remembering the atmosphere of paradise. You shot is carrying that very well.

Hi Attila,
Huaine is great, for sure... I stayed six months in Raiatea, just opposite! You managed to find geometry in this nature scene... the top half is made of 2 triangles divided by the diagonal branch...
Great colors and sharpness level. Perfect framing. Interesting detail of the wave braking on the coral reef in BG, a typical Polynesian view!

Beautiful landscape that looks like the paradise. Your setting gives it a lot of graphical strenght on having showed in foreground the branches of the tree in the beach and the canoes on the sand.

Na ja, a Paradicsomból csak szép képeket szabad küldeni! Nagy teljesítménynek tartom, hogy a verőfényes homok nem égett be, ráadásul papírról szkennelve. Az is remek, hogy egyszer csak ott termett egy törött ágú fa előtérnek.

Ciao Attila!

ci lasci intravvedere solo un pezzettino di questa spiaggia e il resto ce lo lasci immaginare: ci sarà altra gente? e quanti? ci saranno edifici?
Visto così il posto è bello e diverso da altre tipiche spiagge tropicali, niente palme e però le barche identificano un luogo esotico.
L'immagine è perfetta nitida bei colori e equilibrata nella composizione.
