Photographer's Note

A brief contemplation on life in the city while waiting to cross busy Posidonos (Poseidon) Avenue. I had very few opportunities to take photos during my stay in Athens, a few days ago, and tried to make the most of what I got.

Palaio Faliro is a coastal suburb in southern Attica. I had spent only a short while looking for pictures along the promenade when I got a phone call to hurry. I almost ran to the traffic light but it had just turned red. The lady stood next to me and although I'm of average height, she was much shorter. This gave me an idea, I took a step backwards and waited a second for the cars to pass before us.

Behind us there were the tram lines, the promenade, a wide beach and then a vast seascape with large ships along the horizon.
