Photographer’s Note
Why to Nikki?
It's obvious: the tilt composition, the tiltness of the photo.
Why the tiltness of the photo? I think it adds dynamism to the photo.
It was late and I wanted something special: the late light of the day. I was waiting and somehow I could see something warm in the air: look how long are the shadow and the warm colours of the picture. The sunset was close.
Also I love the scene and I made a few pictures.
And look... they are really tan. I could see some people in the island (also the day before in Hydra) with the skin very tan... but in a very special way. What do I mean?
When you spend all your life in the sea (as a sailor) you get a special colour in your skin. The colour, the smell,... everything is very different... but somehow I admire and I like that kind and rythm of life.
I hope you like it.

Hi, Carlos. I like the tilt which allows you to include more of the people. there is also a very nice contrast between the diving boy and the rather stiff attitude of the other people. Nice colours and light.
Have a nice evening,
Philippe

Well timed shot as the boy dives into the water. Interesting that all three people are in different poses - standing , sitting and flying through the air! ;) The late afternoon light is lovely.

Hola Carlos,

Ben feta.
Una abraçada,
Josep

Great shot, Carlos,
The action is captured perfectly here as the diver has just launched himself into the air. I think the angle is very fitting, making the diver nearly horizontal while the beach in the background is set at a significant tilt. Wonderful afternoon lighting and an almost "retro" appeal to the image. Well done - thanks for sharing.

Ola Carlos,
Indeed the tilt adds some dynamism. I am not very pleased about the background which does not really gain with the tilt and disturbs me somehow. Perthaps from a hşgher point that would let the beach disappear the picture ( To my point of views ) would be perfect. Otherwise, the way you caught the diver entirely and the position of the other people is really lovely.
Friendly regards - Izzet

Ola Carlos,
At first glance it look rather like a child quick snap shot, as we looks closer and analyzed it. It is a very well thought out composition, and the timing is absolutely perfect, like a moment freeze in time. What I love most is the casual atmosphere, but full of liveliness and the energy that exuberated from it.
Very nice colors tone of the warm light and good sharpness and clarity.
Well done. My complements.

A very entertaining and dynamic picture. A man stumbling into the water, the lady holding intensely to her bag and the man reaching for the rope all separated into their own worlds but still combined into this weird triangle. I would have cropped it a little tighter, there is just a little bit of too much water on the right side, but just a little. The tilt works wonderfully in this composition. I like it, there are stories in this picture!
