Downtown of Budapest, V. district

The Vth district of Budapest is the heart of the capital, or even the heart of the country. The most important institutions of the state are here.
The district is famous of the Váci street, the Kossuth Square, the Saint Stephen Basilica and the Parliament Building, the Petőfi statue or the Nagy Imre statue. The district was the center of many revolutions. In fact the Vth district is one of the smallest ones in Budapest.

2,6 sq km and 40.000 people living in 21.000 apartments. 146.000 square metre park also belong to the district. Though only a few people live in the downtown it has a very busy life with thousands of offices and business centers. (Source:Vendégváró)
