Photographer's Note

Hi! Another photo of the last railway model show. More infos about the festival in the note of this photo.

The locomotive You see here is an M62-type diesel, nicknamed "Serguei".

It was the universal diesel locomotive type of the countries of the communist block, was and still is running on the rails of ex-Soviet countries, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Mongolia, North Korea, Cuba and... Germany (at that time East Germany, wearing the funny nickname "German Democratic Republic". But Deutsche Bahn still uses this vehicle).
"Serguei" is mostly used for freight trains, because it's unable to heat the carriages, so pulling passenger trains is out of question, except in summer. Manufactured between 1965 and '74, mileage: 1470 kW, full length 17550 mm, weight: 116 tons, engine type: diesel-electric. MÁV (Hungarian State Railway Company) have had 288 pieces overall.

Model scale: H0.
