Photographer’s Note
for as long as I can remember, venice has been an obsession of mine. it's definitely the place I visited more often in Italy (something between 15 and 20 times). but because my parents could not afford to take me there, the first time I visited venice was on a school trip. I will never forget that morning, after an interminable night on the train - I stepped out of the station and saw the Canal Grande and the Bridge of the Scalzi before me, the light, the water. since then, these two elements have always been with me whenever I am in venice.
so the idea behind this image was to recreate those first moments - and because this photo was taken around 6PM, I had to change the light temperature and its direction before converting it into b/w.

I'm impressed once again. Something strange - I always felt that "empty" sky is some kind of mistake of photographer, but here this light surface is just proper part of this splendid composition.
Regards my dear friend.

Ciao Cris!
Wonderful, serene, elegant...again!!
A great mood on this scene, and your election to post in B&N fits really well, giving a sense of out of time very good...
Have a nice day...

Hello my dear Cristina
What is another super great shot and good titel!
Great framework/well considered composition and sharp focusing in the detail are excellent as usual!
B&W slight light management is also excellent too.
Congratulation on your masterpiece!

Have a nice Sunday evening !

Ciao Paperina,
Buona domenica
