Monte Grisa is one of the most beautiful places in the Karst surrounding Trieste.It is covered by dark green pines and on the top of it you can find the "Monte Grisa Temple"(330 mt above sea-level). The temple was built in years 1963-1966,is dedicated to Mary Mother Queen and from there you can enjoy the superb panorama of the city, the gulf of Trieste and a part of Istria.
How to reach the Temple of Monte Grisa:
-From motorway A4 to Trieste, exit Prosecco-Trieste Centro.
-From Trieste, follow the indications to Opicina, at the crossroads take the road to Prosecco.

i like what you've done here - using the trees to frame the shot. the pines are a good silhouette to the red sun.

would it have been possible to move to the left slightly? it would have been great to see the sunset reflected in the water ... the gap in the trees would have allowed for that.

otherwise, a very creative photo. nice framing and colours.

well done. keep shooting!

Hi Attila,

trovo che questa foto sia incantevole.
E' una finestra su un paesaggio sfuocato ma proprio per questo pieno d'incanto, dai colori fortissimi e credo difficili da immortalare nel nord est (magari mi sbaglio!?).
Una delle cose che mi piacciono di più è la cornice fatta di pini che riporta al mediterraneo!

Kedves Attila!
Örülök, hogy eddig még nem írtam erről a képről. A békés és végtelen tenger a lenyugodni készülő nap vöröslő fényeivel a tűlevelek sziluettjei mögött alkalmasak felidézni azt a hangulatot, amivel a Karácsonyt várjuk.
