Hallo Achim,
It is a sight very known but it continues being spectacular. Good setting with an angle very adapted to catch the architectural beauty of the Duomo and the Tower of Pisa, under the rain and a gray sky that contrasts with such a green grass.
I like the deep perspective that you have achieved, that gives a great dynamism to the image.

Hallo Achim. PISA. Wenn das kein Aufhänger ist. Sonst sieht man den Turm fast immer isoliert als einzelnes Gebäude. Du hast eine sehenswerte Lösung gefunden und auch die Umgebung gekonnt miteinbezogen. Trotz - oder gerade wegen - des regnerischen Tages wirken die Farben sehr frisch. Insgesdamt hervorragend. A classic view of the Leaning Tower, & noteworthy, as all the postcards I've seen, have blue skies. Excellent diffused light, with subtle reflections in the wet pavement. Tfs!

Hi, Achim. The famous Campo dei Miracoli. Unfortunately, no miracle as far as the weather is concerned... Your composition makes up for it with the nice diagonal line of the pavement crossing the whole picture and bringing out the main subject. The Duomo and tower stand well out against the grey sky. The early tourists add some contrast and give the scale. Maybe a grad grey filter would have helped to get some more contrast in the sky.

Achim bonjour.
Ce ciel au-dessus de Pise n'est pas habituel mais la photo a beaucoup de charme parce qu'elle met en valeur l'architecture de grande valeur de ce site. Bonne composition avec la perspective de la rue. Les parapluies de couleurs font un point d'accroche dans cette dominante grise.

A pretty well-known place! A typical view!
However, I wouldn't say it's new for me, because with this cloudy and grey sky the white buildings were completely enhanced and they're soooo beautiful!

Hi Achim,
Good idea to include the whole cathedral as well as the iconic tower because all the white marble offsets the rainy day sky.
The church contast wonderfully with the lush green grass and the shiny rain soaked street. Excellent note as well.

selten sieht man ein so gutes Bild von diesem Meisterwerk. Dir ist es gelungen mit der sanften und gleichmäßigen Belichtung die feine Marmorverkleidung in ihrer vollen Pracht wiederzugeben und auch der dunkle Hintergrund passt hervorragend.
Mit der Karte hast Du etwas verwechselt und den Dom nach Rom verlegt. Hier die richtigen Koordinaten: 43.72306/10.39639.

A classical shot of the Duomo and Leaning Tower of Pisa but with one exception, the cloudy and rainy day with the wet street, something different of what we usually see in TE, for that reason I think you got an unique shot of the famous place. Well done.

Like the POV showing the Duomo & the leaning tower, with a well built diagonal of the green lawn. Obviously it was drizzling going by the wet road...like the contrast of the white monuments against the dark sky. Excellent work!
