Luxembourg City is a commune with city status, and the capital of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It is located at the confluence of the Alzette and Pétrusse rivers in southern Luxembourg and contains the historic Luxembourg Castle, established by the Franks in the Early Middle Ages, around which the area grew up. Today the commune of Luxembourg City has a population of about 80,000 inhabitants.
Luxembourg City is the seat of several institutions of the European Union, including the European Court of Justice, the secretariat of the European Parliament, the European Court of Auditors and the European Investment Bank.

On the picture the National Savings Bank with its tall tower is visible on the left, sorrounded by the Valley of Petrusse.

bellissima veduta di questo posto: che io ricordo soprattutto per come era ben illuminato la sera, infatti ci sono stata in una stagione invernale parecchi anni fa.
Il prato è perfetto come velluto, come si addice ad una località ricca come questa.

Amazing quality from a scanned print. So sharp. The composition is very pleasant with the diagonals of colour descending the hill. Very nice work.

Attila, what a great surprise to wake up on a Sunday morning and start the day with one of your images. Great details everywhere. One of the facts why I like your work a lot is that you know how to use color as part of the composition and you don't shy away or stress it... it is spot right.

Hi Attila,
It's not really a surprise considering that is a photo of yours, but it's a truly wonderful compo, making justice of the beauty of the place. The castle is very well positioned, dominating the rest of the city and the scenic park that gently descends to the right of the image. It looks much more like an Autumn view, so having been shot in April makes it kind of funny. The light, colours and sharpness are gorgeous and it's amazing how you achieved such high quality from a scan.

Gorgeous view on Luxembourg! The light is lovely and it's very nice to see some fresh colours from the Spring here. I find the compostion excellent too with the tower well placed on the left hand side. Good work!

Belle photo de ces batiments officiels si j' ai bien compris. Cette verdure, arbre et herbes bien tondue nous donnent l' impression d' etre hors ville. Les couleurs sont très jolies et la netteté est grande, belle prise de l' ensemble.

Jó kis csavar, amikor egymás után pakolják fel az őszi képeket a TE munkatársak, Te fölraksz egy gyönyörű tavaszi fotót! Ebből a szemszögből még nem láttam képet Luxembourgról, úgyhogy a látószög számomra nemcsak kiváló, hanem eredeti is. A színek gyönyörűek, a fények csillogóak és üdék. Szívfacsaró látvány ez a jóleső meleg és tavaszi ébredés, amikor lassan befagy a ..mindenünk. Pedig imádom az őszt, hiszen a mostanihoz fogható színkavalkádot ritkán látni a természetben, csak ne lenne olyan hideg! Gratulálok ismét ehhez a remek fotóhoz, Szép napokat és fényeket!

ma perfino da uno scan sai tirare fuori immagini così nitide? Non sono mai stato in Lussemburgo che sembra un'altra svizzera a giudicare dalla cura degli spazi verdi. Hai reso molto bene i dettagli degli alberi ed i colori sono sorprendenti per essere primaverili.

These colors in the trees seem to be autumnal, and you took this photo in spring. I like the setting and the balance of the elements in this nice landscape with the city in BG.
