Citta'Umilissima is one of the many titles of Valletta,Malta's capital city, all recalling its rich historical past. The city was built by the Knights of St.John during the 16th century and is a masterpiece of the baroque and a World Heritage City.Valletta is named after its founder, the Grand Master of the Order of St.John,Jean Parisot de la Valette.
Valetta stands on a promontory flanked by two major harbours: Grand Harbour and Marsamxett Harbour. On this picture you can see the second one.
The shot was taken from Ta'Xbiex, the main marina in Malta.
