Photographer's Note

I couldn't resist to have a one-day-visit in this microstate when I spend my holiday in Southern France a few years ago. It was a rather cloudy day which made it quite pleasant to explore the streets by foot. I don't know if I like this place or not but the amazing size of the private yachts was impressive. Nothing strange about that if you consider that this place attracts very wealthy people.
A dude to the left seems to have a genuin photo interest and tries to find the best angle for his photographs:)

Hello Boa,
I've never been to Monaco, but what always impresses me in photos of this place is how tightly packed together all the buildings are. We can see that in this view, too. The high POV is great for seeing the marina, and all the colorful architecture. I think there's also a swimming pool at ground level. :-) Of course this man, with his leg hanging over the edge, really adds life and interest to the scene.

Et meget fint bilde fra denne lilleputtstaten sør i Europa. Fotografen i forgrunnen danner utvilsomt et blikkfang og gir bildet det lille ekstra. Fint komponert bilde med flotte farger. Veldig bra:)

Hello Boa, I wonder what it is like to live here?
The buildings seem so close together, so congested!
You had a great viewpoint, and with the added extra of the gentleman on the left to provide a focal point; we look at hime and then where he is looking.
Excellent depth of field.

Monaco is a small country but how well every centimeter is used! It looks quite a big city although a district of Warsaw where I am living is five times bigger. What a great idea to include this guy sitting on the edge. Isn't it dangerous? Magnificent picture.

What a keen photographer would do for a picture... Nice tak3n moment, Boa, city down bellow offer the abundance of yachts view along teh red roof-tops of the luxurious dwellings.

Take of risks for a picture is a little to much if the man on the wall, but everyone his opinion.
Splendid panorama view with the marina beside.

En riktigt snygg bild med både fin stadsvy och en välplacerad människa i förgrunden. Titeln är också utmärkt: både konkret och milt ironisk. Det finns nog många stackare med bara enstaka miljoner på kontot som har det tufft i Monaco. Jag tog mig också en halvdag i detta märkliga lilla land medan jag gick en språkkurs på Rivieran en gång i tiden. Skulle inte ha någon lust att bo här faktiskt.
Mitt korta besök i London var bra, fast jag tycker att stan börjar bli i största och stökigaste laget. Det gav inte särskilt många bilder. Jag åkte mest över för att träffa en del Trekearth-människor och se en fotoutställning, men det var ju trevligt nog.

the weather may have been dull but with the guy sitting precariously the picture is pretty lively with lots to look at ,they certainly seem to live on the edge in Monaco.
A cracking shot from an unusual view point all round.

Indeed, very cloudy for that time of the year.
It's a bit surprising to find you back in Monaco instead of in a back street somewhere in Panama.
Some people really take a risk in order to obtain a good picture. The views of Monaco are always quite attractive but I doubt if the city is really that interesting.
Can you see your yacht on this picture?

Hi Boa,

The distance between the photographer and the highrise building is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the buldings. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.
