Photographer's Note

I had planned to post something else today but decided to remain in Leiden, the city of my last photo. On the day of my visit the weather was beautiful and city was very lively with a lot of boats and canoes roaming the canals and thousands of people enjoying the sun in outdoor cafés and restaurants. In other words a very good day for photography.

This photo is typical of the atmosphere that day: boats and people and lots of bicycles filling every available parking space. The bridge is called Visbrug (Fish bridge). It was built in the 12th century and got its name from the fish market that used to be here.
