Photographer's Note

As an art lover, a visit to Amsterdam had to include time for the Rijksmuseum.
In fact we spent the whole day there!

The national museum of the Netherlands, it is dedicated to arts and history.
The collection size? 1 million objects!
Who counted them?

It first opened its' doors in 1800, and was originally situated in the Hague.
In 1808, the museum moved to the new capital city of Amsterdam, where it was based in the Royal Palace on Dam Square.
The current building was put into use in 1885.

A greyish day, I liked the tree silhouetted against the sky.
Another view in the workshop.

Thank you for looking.
