I like the really the framing with the inclusion of the taxi ship and the water.
You really do not fear to put your camera in all positions, as dangerous as they are!

Another nice take from the water taxi, Henk. Good to open the framing with the boat portion at the left (which even reflects some of the bridge construction) and funny how the splashing water just about adheres to the level of the water line and allows for an unobscured view of the diverse architecture at the right. Well-contrasted and colorful details.

Good composition where you captured all the dynamism of the moment. The water and that movement are very important in the photo. Also the urban landscape creates a very interesting composition.

Hi Henk,
I like this one better than your previous post in which I had an issue with oversaturation.
This one is well saturated, too, but it's not that obvious - in contrary, together with high contrast it creates buildings that stand out individually.
I also like the dynamic framing that goes well with framed action created by inclusion of a part of the boat you're on and the wave visible at the bottom - great compositional idea and balance.
Also appreciate links in your note, as I only learnt about the Rotterdam meeting a day or two ago and want to see as many photos as possible.

This is a great shot Henk! You capture both the fine scene and the movement of the boat on the water with excellent color and detail. Last time I saw one of your photos you were shooting with the Mark II, so I'm surprised to see the 5D listed. I couldn't handle the weight of the Mark I I owned briefly and moved to the 5D as well. It is a very fine camera. In the hands of a skilled photographer is creates fine images, just like this. Wonderful contribution to the theme Henk.

Hallo Henk,
Ik heb gezien dat je de portretten aan Jack en anderen overlaat. Dit is in elk geval weer een mooi havenbeeld met heel geraffineerd de boot aan de zijkant. Ik heb bij Michael Gan nog een spiegeling van je geplaatst voor de portrettengalerij.

i see you ppl had a blast at the TE meet... one that is better than how the water splashes out. very nice framing.

PS: this is a very different Oochappan shot (we are used to a different style of Henk in Indian pics) :)

Hi Henk,
This is clear and crisp shot and the composition is very well ballanced. Spray jet brings the motion in the picture and creates a strong feeling of speed. Very well done.

Je suis de près ce sympathique meeting.
Je note ici une bonne composition un peu risquée pour la lentille de l'objectif sauf si elle est protégée d'un filtre UV.
La prise de vue assez basse donne une bonne profondeur qui guide le regard vers l'architecture moderne de cette ville.

Prachtige foto van Rotterdam! Het opspattende water vind ik erg leuk in de voorgrond. Een zo'n fantastische brug als de Erasmusbrug doet het altijd goed, de reflectie van de tuien in de boot is een leuk detail hierbij. Prima werk!
