Photographer's Note

The statue of Saint John Paul II was unveiled on the 16th anniversary of the Pope's stay in ¯ywiec. It is located next to the historic belfry, in the place where the Holy Father celebrated Mass. The author of the bronze monument is the Krakow artist-sculptor Professor Czeslaw Dzwigaj.

Zywiec is a city in south-central Poland. The city is located in the center of the ¯ywiec Valley, on the So³a River, near the Zywieckie Lake in the historical region of Lesser Poland and includes the Zywiec Landscape Park, one of eight protected areas in the province.
